Mizoram NLUP To Resume Soon

Aizawl, May 20 :  As and when the election process gets over, the pending and further works on New Land Use Policy (NLUP), the Mizoram state government flagship programme, shall be resumed, Chairman of NLUP Implementing Board (NIB) J.H Rothuama said today.

Addressing the non-officials of NLUP, Apex Board Members and NIB Members, the NIB Chairman said that disbursement of NLUP assistance and other works had to be stopped due to election and related matters, adding, as soon as Election Code of Conduct becomes ineffective, works on NLUP shall be resumed. The meeting today was also convened to make plans for continuation of the NLUP works, the Chairman said.

The NIB Chairman reported in the meeting that he had recently visited Mamit, Kolasib and Champhai District, upon which he eye-witnessed the NLUP initiative on the spot and found that the hardworking and faithful even now achieve success. The meeting today resolved to accelerate the works NLUP in a more coercive manner and by visiting the work sites in group.
