New Delhi, Jun 12 : The discovered of two decomposed bodies which resembles like a Northeasterner have sent shock waves across the capital.

Dead bodies of a woman and a man have been discovered here in the dubious murderous capital in a separate location on June 8 and June 9 respectively.

This is the sixth incident in the city this year where a woman’s body has been found in a sack.

The unwanted news alarms the North East communities in Delhi.

The body of an unidentified woman was found stuffed in a gunny bag near a canal in the Yamuna Khadar region at Old Usmanpur on June 8 .

It is clear that the victim was murdered elsewhere and her body was dumped here in an isolated canal in Yamuna River.

The incident came into light when some passers-by saw the decomposed body and informed the police.

The body was wrapped in a bed-sheet and tied with ropes.

The dead body bore several injury marks.

“It appears the murder took place at least 18 to 72 hours ago.

The victim is around 20 years old with light weight having fair complexion, round face, 4 feet 10 inches height, and having long and black hair.

The body has been kept at GTB Hospital for the next 72 hours for identification.

A case of murder has been registered in Ushmanpur police station.

The police are investigating the case,” a senior police officer said.

Three similar murders which shocked the capital were unsolved still, which includes a body of a woman was sent to Ajmer in parcel, another body was sent by train to Etawah and the woman whose body was recovered from east Delhi in the beginning of this year.

Last month, a 22-year-old woman, Cecilia Chong, belonging to the Kuki-Chin community was murdered by her live-in partner, Innocent Nwayo (31) in the same manner in Uttar Nagar.

Nwayo was arrested by the police recently.

Another unidentified male body which looks like a North East was also found near India Gate on June 9 morning.

The victim has a wheatish complexion with thick bulky hair, around 5 feet 2 inches height and wore white T-shirt.

His body is found laying in the pool of his blood.

There was a tattoo of ‘OM’ on the left arm.

The dead body has been kept in Ram Lohia Manohar Hospital Mortuary.

“A case has been registered and we are investigating the case,” police officials said.

Various leaders from the North East organisations had visited the Ram Lohia Manohar and Guru Teg Bahadur hospitals to identify the dead bodies.

The dead bodies have not been claim by any one else till today.

Dr.Thokchom Meinya, MP (Lok Sabha), Manipur has also visited RLM hospital today and expressed his deep concern for the safety of North East peoples living in the national capital.

In yet another incident, a young man belonging to Vaiphei community from Manipur also been reported missing from Delhi since May 21.On this day, he went to Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) to catch a bus for Gourakhpur, Uttar Pradesh to visit his cousins.

He left his luggage in the travel agency where he booked his ticket.

But he did not return back.

On suspicious, the travel agents informed the Delhi Police.

The police found a telephone number from a diary inside the luggage, and the matter was immediately informed to his relative in Delhi.

However, his whereabouts is not yet known.

Zillai (Vaiphei Students) Delhi and Young Vaiphei Association, Delhi is looking forward for the missing person.
