Mizoram To Up Minimum Wages Rate

: The Lal Thanhawla government today agreed to hike the minimum wages rate in Mizoram.

The Cabinet after a meeting here today approved an upward revision of minimum wages rate in the state, as recommended by the minimum wages board last year, after making some amendments, official sources said.

Of the 48 agendas put forward in the meeting, six agendas were approved.

The approved agendas included revision of salaries of chairman, vice-chairman and members of Mizoram Public Service Commission, State Election Commission, Aizawl Development Authority and revision of remunerations of contractual employees.

The Cabinet also approved creation of 28 posts of staff nurse under health and family welfare department, payment of allowances, perquisites and pensioner benefits to judicial officers and retired judicial officers and creation of more posts for the yet-to-be-set-up accident & trauma centres at Kolasib and Serchhip districts.
