Shillong, Apr 14 : Thunderstorm continued its rage here in Meghalaya leading to major power breakdown, an officer said today.
Power supply in certain part of city continued to be disrupted after the storm uprooted trees and snapping power lines.
Internet connectivity was also reported to have been disrupted due to the storm at some places.
No casualty was reported from anywhere due to the storm.
''The workers had to adjust the functional feeder lines to provide power to those areas which were under complete darkness,'' Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited Public Relations Officer EB Kharmujai said.
He said power supply in all the areas of the capital city would be restored by this evening.
