Aizawl, Apr 27 : Mizoram Governor Lt Gen (retd) M M Lakhera and five state cabinet ministers today participated in the mass prayer organised at the Assam Rifles ground here by Love India Missions, Mizoram, according to an official statement.
The mass prayer programme was organised for repentance and also as a thanksgiving day where many people including church leaders participated.
Addressing the congregation, Lakhera said that unprecedented disasters have devastated many places in the world due to destruction caused by human beings and "we have to change our lifestyles to prevent such man-made disasters, by obeying God."
"While God wanted human beings to co-exist peacefully, wars have ravaged the globe due to disobedience of the Almighty," he said.
