Nagaland Raises Police Commando Team

nagaland police training Kohima, Oct 20 : Nagaland Police have raised a Police Commando Force of four companies.

Speaking to media here, Director General of Police K Kire informed that the four companies of Nagaland Police Commando team were selected out of three Indian Reserved Battalion of Nagaland Police and sent to Punjab for training.

Two more companies of IRB personnel were still under training and would complete their Commando training by the end of this month, he informed.

The Nagaland Police Chief further informed that this Commando force was raised by the initiatives of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs in the IRB after raising the first Indian Reserve Battalion in 2007 and expert commando training is the pressing need of the country after the Mumbai terror attack.
