Mizoram minister fears political vendetta

Aiz­awl, Jan, 10 : Former Mizoram Home Min­is­ter Tawnluia on Sat­urday said that he has availed anti­cip­at­ory bail as he appre­hen­ded ‘polit­ical ven­detta’ from the Con­gress government.

“The present Con­gress regime is revenge­ful on polit­ical oppon­ents,” he said adding that he was given anti­cip­at­ory bail on Fri­day by T Saikunga, Aiz­awl Dis­trict and Ses­sions Judge.

He availed the bail fol­low­ing indict­ment of the retired state DGP M Tum­sanga and the retired Addi­tional SP (Min­is­terial) H Tlangkunga by the Anti-Corruption Bur­eau (ACB) for allegedly swind­ling crores of rupees meant for police modernisation.
